Name/Nicknames:
Taylor Angela Dear, prefers to be called Taylor.
Age/Birthdate:
Eighteen. January 27, 1988
Occupation/Education:
Student, currently enrolled in high school.
Nationality/Religion:
She does not associate herself with any particular denomination, but will attend Mass with her parents | Chinese
Hobbies/Talents:
She enjoys being more of the observant type, so she doesn't engage in many group activities. She does enjoy skiing, writing, and photography.
Height/Weight:
5'3" / 114 lbs.
General Appearance:
Taylor is exactly the person the word petite was coined to describe. Standing at not even 5'5", and grasping at 114 pounds, she appears like a lightweight to some people. She has extremely pale, porcelain skin, accompanied with piercingly deep brown almond shaped eyes. Her jet black hair barely grazes her natural waist, and is naturally straight. She's a bit insecure about her height, and she makes up for it by wearing heels most of the time. She takes enormous pride in how she dresses herself, however, which may or may not be result of being friends with Madison Rockefeller. She does play the part of the girl-girl quite well to her peers, oftentimes wearing skirts, or embellished jeans, with cardigans, baby-doll tops, and the like.
Smoke/Drink: Both, but only socially.
Desired Clique: On the canon page she's listed as Elite, but Prep works, too.
Net-Worth: $2,000,000
Family/Friends:
Father - Age 48 – Marketing Manager for GMC
Mother – Age 45 – Housewife
Brother – Age 10 – Student
She is close friends with Madison Rockefeller, and dates Hunter
Personality/History:
Taylor has grown up under the strict rule, and constant watching eye of her parents. She was born and raised in Collingstead, the first child of second generation Chinese immigrants who had become very well off very fast. Ever since she can remember she has been pushed into activities by her father. You name is, she had probably tried it; piano, ballet, singing, swimming, Irish dancing. Some might have argued that being exposed to so many different activities at a young age would be an astounding benefit to Taylor, but she begged profusely to differ. Being in the spotlight, or working as a team just wasn't the thing for her, no matter how hard her parents forced it.
Those were two words that often found themselves in the same sentence. Parents and force. While Taylor's mind is usually off in another world, either thinking about hanging out with friends, Hunter, or the Peace Corps, her parents use any means nessecary to bring it back to the "most pressing" issue at hand. Taylor's becoming a doctor, which was honestly the one thing that was never on her mind. She understood that her parents wanted her to further their "tradition of excellence" and whatnot, but Taylor was willing to push back, within limits, to get what she wanted. That was thing that most irritated her internally. That not matter how much she wanted something, she would not let herself get mad about something. It just wasn't in her nature.
As her senior year starts, and she really has to decide what she's going to do with her life, she just might be able to handle the pressure. Or, as she predicts, this year could be a complete disaster.
Hometown:
Collingstead, New York
Marital Status:
She is currently going out with Hunter, but that may or may not last.
Role Play Sample:
Taylor's right hand ran through her hair, while she squinted her eyes and attempted to refocus her attention to the hefty book infront of her. She took a deep breath, and went at the passage again. For an obvious reason, she was having a difficult time getting through this book. It's not that she wasn't smart, just just wasn't as smart as she should, or needed, to be. Currently, her parents were out at a benefit, which was the only reason she was allowed to breathe without someone commenting on her lack of work ethic.
She took off her readind glasses, set them back in their case, and rubbed her eyes. It was only 10 p.m., and she was already falling asleep. She didn't dare close her eyes, images of her livid parents floating through her mind. She figured though, they weren't do back for a while, so she could take a short break from her studies. She dog eared the page, slowly shut the book, and left her room, making sure to turn off the overhead fan. Her socks made a light patting sound on the hardwood as she made her way to the kitchen, stretching out her back on the way their.
She shivered as she opened the refrigerator, the combination ot the ice cold steel handle and the blast of the chilled air hitting her face, only adding to her fatigue. She yawned as her eyes skimmed the options. There was some Jerusalem salad, something doggy bagged, and Pom. She reached for the curvy red bottle, and set it on the island, while she went to the other side of the kitchen to get herself a glass.
