“You think that Taylor takes away from Hunter?”
He was given reason to think that. Wasn’t he? “Sure, a taken man is never as outgoing and adventurous as a single bloke it, but we’ll all cope.” That certainly gave him reason to assume. That gave him reason to assume a few things, but we won't get into that. As for Jeremy's question...He ignored Jeremy’s question. He didn’t have any real strong reservations towards the relationship, to be honest. I mean, what did Fabien think of Taylor and Hunter? What did Fabien think of anything? He did hold some opinions as to the state of their relationship, as well as the things surrounding it, however. But again, this was Fabien Berléand.

“No, that’s not what I said. Hunter still fun, just not as fun as he was; before. I don’t mind, I have my other mates, so it’s nothing vital, I don’t necessarily need Hunter, but he’s a friend, and a good one at that. Anyway; I don’t really have the rights to say if they are good together of whatever, like Tay said clearly; it’s none of my business.” There, laid out right in front of Fabien was Jeremy’s opinion, loud and clear, and he’d said it, or rather Taylor had; it wasn’t any of Jeremy’s business. To say the least; he did want the relationship to work out, but it they did cut it off, he’d like the break-up to be clean, well everyone would really. No fights or anything, and for them to be still friends in the long run, that would be great. Carrying out a busy relationship couldn’t be easy, but Jeremy couldn’t really judge either, as the last serious relationship he’d had was quite a quite ago, and under complete different circumstances.
Changing the subject; no, he’d never been good at doing so really, it wasn’t a skill of his. Others could do it so well, and go about it with such cleanliness, and purity. Jeremy; well he basically sucked at it, seriously. It never worked, and especially with stubborn people, hence Fabien. The character seemed to be unfolding into quite a strong willed male, definite about what he wanted, and where he was to go, even with other people; Jeremy for instance. He was quite a powerful man, with a will to kill basically. Asking Fabien for his opinion certainly didn’t work, yes, as you saw; he tried.

I don’t necessarily need Hunter.
Well, that was memorable wasn't it? He didn't necessarily need Hunter. That was up for interpretation. ...Something like that, it can be taken so many ways. And with a person like Fabien Berleand, it could easily be taken out of context. Now, that's not to say Fabien was going to purposely misconstrew what Jeremy was confiding in him, (or telling him rather. There was nothing particularly confidential about this information) but this was a frequent topic among Collingsteaders, at least in this social grouping. Bits and pieces from previous conversations are bound to come up.
"He's a good friend, of course it's your business."

“Maybe so, but I’m not the one who’s dating him, am I? And if they don’t want me to interfere with their relationship, I understand, sort of.” Yes, he did find that Fabien could sort of make everything seem to have a reason, and a good one at that. Like maybe he was right; maybe Jeremy did sort of have the right, and the option to express his feelings about the couple. It was true, he did like them being together, and maybe at times he was slightly jealous, of both of them, for completely different reasons. Taylor; he was jealous of her because she had Hunter, she was everything to him really, she could control him basically, as if she didn’t want him to do a certain thing, than all she had to do was ask, and he’d stop his actions. And for Hunter; he was actually jealous of his own mate because he’d scored Taylor; the beautiful, and smart Elite. He’d never actually tell either of them this, because that was quite stupid really.

“They don’t want you to interfere but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care about your friend, does it? I can’t imagine what it would be like to have such a close friend in a relationship like…their’s.”
‘Like…their’s’, that too was open for interpretation. However, in the same manner that Fabien nitpicked what Jeremy said, trying to find an ulterior motive or meaning, he had to keep what he said ambiguous. Things could be implied, but nothing could actually be said. You’re still relatively safe if it’s not explicitly said. If things are left open for interpretation, they can be used for or to your advantage. The rules in Lincoln-Douglas and Student Congress applied to conversation, and you didn’t need to be in the NFL (National Forensics League, not the National Football League, mind you) to figure that one out.

Okay, now that seriously did puzzle him; ‘like their’s’. What was a relationship ‘like their’s’? Was it the fact that they were the head of the school; Elites, with their popularity on the stakes? Or was it because they led totally diverse, and different lifestyles to each other? Or maybe Peace Corp. Okay, so Jeremy had no idea what the hell Peace Corp. actually was, but it had to be something important. And lately, Taylor had been acting as though she was withdrawing from the idea Hunter was totally devoted to, about the corporation being much more important that either of the teenager’s education, which yes, worried Jeremy. Sure, he may not have been the bestest of friends, he may have lied, cheated, and corrupted maybe things that his partner in the friendship had trusted him dearly with, but he knew when something wasn’t right, when something needed to be done about it, yet he didn’t really want to get messed up in a situation like that.
And now, after that awkward situation, Jeremy was unsure of what to say, or do. Instead of acting on it, he just stood there, in silence, as though he was waiting for something, or someone to do something, or anything to happen, nothing did though, like he’d probably expected. The silence dwelled over them, yet the busy mall still buzzed, sending a shiver down the male’s spine. Silence was always uncanny, and he didn’t enjoy the quiet, not at all. “Mhm.” Of course, that’s all he could really come up with, as he certainly would have added more if he could have come up with any extra, and also as he didn’t want to interrupt the male, and of course; his dearly loved ties, he kept it short, extremely short. Maybe a sigh would have made the situation better, maybe worse, but he didn't find it necessary at a time like this. Sighing when the silence ruled was never really a good idea, as it just made everything seem worse in perspective, and so he didn't, yet still the silence continued.
